‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, and tests in New York

Blaine -Darren Criss and Chris Colfer have long hoped to see the relationship between Blaine and Kurt become more complex, and now that the two parties are going to be spending more time together on “Glee” in New York, that will be possible. It’s a chance to turn these two into fully-realized adult characters, and with that of course becomes a great deal of conflict and turmoil.

There is a lot to preview and a lot to set up for life beyond the 100th episode of the show (which airs on Tuesday night), and with that in mind, executive producer Brad Falchuk teased the following when it comes to the Klaine relationship in a new interview with TV Guide:

“I like seeing that relationship get tested and strengthened and sort of the adult version of those characters having real conversations about stuff and really making adult choices … They’re really having fun together.”

As for some other scoop from Falchuk on the show’s journey ahead:

1. For the time being, the future of many of the McKinley students are left in the dark. The likes of Ryder and Jake are not written off the show per se, but they are no longer a focus or priority.

2. For the time being, the same goes for the teachers … but given Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch’s attachment to the show, we have a hard time imagining a future where neither one of them appear

3. There was not one thing said in this entire interview about Santana, which may only further speculation that Naya Rivera may be moving on from the show. She has continued promoting the show, but has not been seen on-set in a matter of weeks.
