‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: ‘Tribes’ now ‘Supernatural: Bloodlines’; see full cast!
How is this for a marked improvement? No longer do you have to refer to “Supernatural’s” upcoming spin-off by that dreadful name of “Supernatural: Tribes.” It now has something that is a little bit cooler, even though it also does sound like something that could be confused for another CW vampire show: “Supernatural: Bloodlines.”
This backdoor pilot will be finished filming this month, and will air on The CW on Tuesday, April 29. As for what the story is about, it’s a trip for Sam and Dean Winchester to Chicago, where they encounter a variety of interesting characters who will become the center of an interesting (and hopefully exciting) new series. There are many castings that we’ve told you about before, but let’s break them all down for you now just so that you can really get a sense of who is who.
Ennis Roth (Lucien Laviscount) – The main character of the show seemingly, and a young cop-in-training who somehow gets thrown into a very messy world. Laviscount is best known for his work on “Skins.”
David Hayden (Nathaniel Buzolic) – A shapeshifter who has tried to hide who he is for a rather extensive period of time. Buzolic is familiar to CW audiences as Kol from “The Vampire Diaries.”
Violet Durant (Melissa Roxburgh) – She is a werewolf member of a rival family to the Hayden family, but has strong romantic feelings for David. Roxburgh has been on “Arrow,” and ironically also appeared in a past “Supernatural” episode in season 7.
Margo Hayden (Danielle Savre) – The “Heroes” alum plays David’s sister, a former goth girl who has developed a sense of power and responsibility.
Julian Durant (Sean Faris) – A member of the same family as Violet, but does not share her feelings of love or even respect for those in the Hayden clan. Faris is someone you may know from “Pretty Little Liars.”
Freddie Costa (Stephen Martines) – A police officer who has already been through the wringer in Chicago.
