‘Big Brother Canada 2’ houseguest spotlight: Can Sarah Miller be a darkhorse?
Every season on “Big Brother” or “Big Brother Canada,” we get some people who want to be aggressive, some people who want to be strategic, and then people who really seem more interested in just hanging out. For whatever reason, we see Sarah Miller firmly within that latter group.
Name – Sarah Miller
Age – 32
Occupation – Mortgage broker (so does that mean she wants to make bank with this season?)
Location – Langley, British Columbia (located near Vancouver), though originally from Osgoode, Ontario.
Three adjectives we would use to describe her – Friendly, candid, and strong-minded.
Strengths – Whoever said that they actually wanted to be there to make friends? That’s Sarah’s plan, and it’s actually not a terrible one. Being the friendly person in the house may not get you the prize, but it will keep you around for several weeks while the bigger threats all eliminate each other. She seems like she knows herself well enough that she won’t let herself be swayed, and she has the right mindset of going in hoping to have a great experience. You don’t want the game to overwhelm you or control your mind.
Weaknesses – Is Sarah going to actually play the game? We don’t get a sense that she really cares about competitions or strategy in the slightest. Another thing that we’re worried about with her is that she seems to be very set in her ways, and also a little more concerned about being embarrassed than others. This is the “Big Brother” house! We can also see her getting into confrontations if people do something that she doesn’t like (such as bully someone), and it in turn hurting her in the game.
“Big Brother” comparison – She’s almost like combining Jillian and Talla into one person, at least in that you get more of Jillian’s attitude with Talla’s strategy for playing the game. You could argue that Jordan Lloyd employed a similar strategy, though she had a ton of help in the game courtesy of Jeff. (Sarah loves Big Jeff … so there’s that.)
Outlook – If Sarah wins this show, it will be horrendous since we don’t think she’s going to make many moves to deserve it. That’s the big difference between her in Jillian, at least in that you could credit her challenge dominance most of the season. Sarah’s probably not going to do that. She will, however, still go pretty far, mostly because there is zero reason for anyone to go after her.
