ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Stana Katic on future of Bracken story

Castle -During Monday night’s new episode of “Castle,” we learned quite a bit when it comes to what Senator Bracken has been up to since the last time we saw him. Specifically, we learned that this has used some tools at his disposal to elevate himself to a further level of political power. He’s a guy who now has aspirations to run for President of the United States, and he has almost unlimited funds behind him courtesy of the drug trade. The one person who could stop him? Beckett.

Unfortunately for the time being, this is not a show with any sort of firm timetable on when this story could be fully addressed or played-out; instead, what we have is the following quite from Stana Katic on the subject to TVLine:

“I’ve been digging on my own with the producers to find out where they’re going, [but I know] they’ve upped the ante … We built up the Bracken character, talking about him as a sleeping dragon that was awoken, and this story re-mythologizes him … [With this campaign] his status now is at another level, which means that the stakes are higher than ever. And so keeping Beckett at bay is more important than ever. She’s a bigger threat than she’s been in the past.”

This is only one of a few loose ends that “Castle” still has to tie up, including whether or not 3XK is still alive and if Castle and Beckett are going to be able to get married later this spring without any sort of hitch in the plan. Obviously, the stress of a big case is something that can hold many people back, and we will just have to wait and see if it will in this case.
