‘Glee’ season 5: Would Lea Michele ever do a spin-off show?

Here’s the reality when it comes to “Glee“: The show is going to get an opportunity to do a sixth season, and then, it’s curtains. There is no other way of really thinking about it right now, since were it not for the fact that it was given a two-season renewal this past spring, it would probably be over in a couple of months.

But, Lea Michele is at least still open to doing more of the show beyond what we’ve seen, including a spin-off that would feature Rachel Berry roaming around New York … at least if Fox was ever interested in ordering it. She mentioned this as a part of a new interview with Seventeen, saying “let’s do it” at the possibility.

What the future could really hold for Lea after being on this show could be a variety of different things, and one possibility we would certainly not rule out is a return to Broadway after spending many years away from the show. This is an opportunity for her to go back to the city she loves in New York, and continue to surround herself in music. While we assume that it’s possible she could find another show to do in Los Angeles that doesn’t involve music as much, it’s such a big part of her talent that cannot be ignored.

As for many of her co-stars, we expect them to all splinter off into other things. Someone like Matthew Morrison could head to the stage, while we would not be shocked to see Kevin McHale or Jenna Ushkowitz find other TV roles to step into.
