‘Saturday Night Live’ with Jim Parsons delayed due to hockey; when will it start?

More news -For those of you wondering why in the world “Saturday Night Live” is starting a little bit later than usual, we’ve got a quick little answer for you tonight: Hockey.

Is there a little bit of irony to this? We like to think so, mostly because we are dealing with something that probably doesn’t get anywhere near the same sort of ratings. “SNL” featuring Jim Parsons is now starting at 11:41 p.m. Eastern time, which is a small but reasonable delay. It is not so long that we imagine anyone getting turned off to the point where they don’t want to watch.

As for what you can expect from the show when it comes on the air, expect a wide variety of “Big Bang Theory”-related jokes thanks to who the host is. Also, expect the show to almost do everything in their power to move on from the Seth Meyers era quickly, much like an athlete does after being traded to a new team. They want to desperately prove themselves as amazing, and remind you that there are so many other genius people who contribute. We expect big laughs from tonight, especially given Jim’s experience.

If for whatever reason Jim is not your thing, next week may end up being the perfect episode for you all across the board. After all, this will be when you get an opportunity to see “Girls” star Lena Dunham for what could be either a very good or very bad show. We’re so intrigued that we may even podcast about it after the fact.

Of course, be sure to visit the link here and refresh the page at the end of the show. That is where we are going to have our full review of Jim Parsons and company, including a letter grade and a poll for your thoughts.
