‘Doctor Who’ season 8: Prepare for a new ‘experience’ with Peter Capaldi
If you are a “Doctor Who” fan, there are a few things that may be considered by many to be fairly essential. For one, you have to be willing to cosplay as your favorite Doctor at any given moment, and you also have to have at least one thing in your place of residence that has a Tardis on it. Anything less than this will be potentially met with possible frowns.
Also, you get brownie points for visiting the Doctor Who Experience in Wales (where the show shoots), but we won’t hold that against you if you haven’t attended. After all, this is not even remotely close to most parts o the world, and is pretty expensive to travel to. But, we are here to report that there are some changes coming to at least the attraction part of the experience. According to Den of Geek, the part of this feature Matt Smith will go away starting in the fall of this year, and will return in around six weeks with a new attraction that features Peter Capaldi’s Doctor front and center. We imagine that this will coincide with the premiere of the new season in the UK, that way you get a chance to know the new Doctor before you get an opportunity to see the exhibit.
This is the sort of thing that we admittedly wish many of the other shows with similar sort of fandoms would do. Could you imagine what a “Game of Thrones” experience would be like, or a “Sherlock” case that you could go on with a virtual Benedict Cumberbatch? We would add a “Downton Abbey” part to this, but we assume that all you need to do in order to pull that off is go somewhere and act very rich.
