‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: ‘Heroes’ alum among latest ‘Tribes’ casting
The cast for the “Supernatural” backdoor pilot for “Tribes” is expanding yet again, and this time around we’ve added a pair of names with connections to shows that you have likely heard of.
First of all, we have Danielle Savre. You may have heard the news recently that “Heroes” was revived by NBC for a 13-episode summer event, and she played the part of Jackie Wilcox on that show during some of its early days. Her role on “Tribes” will be Margo, the head of a shape-shifting clan in Chicago, a reformed punk-rocker who now has corporate smarts and skill. She is somewhat worried about the return of her brother David (Nathaniel Buzolic) to the group after years of trying to live a normal life.
Also, Stephen Martines of “Burn Notice” fame has been cast as Detective Freddie Costa, the mentor-of-sorts to young Ennis Roth (Lucien Laviscount), the lead of the series who is going to be visited by Sam and Dean in the pilot. While there are many details that still need to be revealed about this project, it at least sounds in theory like there is ambition and thought put into it. We’ll just have to wait and see how much that translates to the show itself, and if it can capture the same sort of lightning in a bottle that the original has.
“Tribes” is about to begin shooting, and will air on The CW in late April. A decision on its future will come at the latest soon after.
