‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5, more finale dates set
Sure, you may just now be in the thick of things for many of your favorite CW shows, but we are here today with what is a pretty big announcement: The official finale dates for many of your favorites. The vast majority of the shows (save for “Beauty and the Beast,” which is probably setting its date based on how some other shows fare), are included, and the vast majority of this should not come as much of a surprise.
The only show that is ending beyond the May sweeps? New show “The 100,” which will be coming to a close on Wednesday, June 11. There is a pretty massive risk being taken here that this show will still find an audience without “Arrow,” and that is not exactly the greatest vote of confidence ever.
Take a look at the rest of the dates below. In case specified, all of the times are normal for the respective show.
Monday, May 5 – “The Tomorrow People” (9:00 p.m. Eastern)
Monday, May 12 – “Star-Crossed”
Tuesday, May 13 – “The Originals”
Wednesday, May 14 – “Arrow”
Thursday, May 15 – “The Vampire Diaries” and “Reign”
Friday, May 16 – “Hart of Dixie” (9:00 p.m. Eastern)
Tuesday, May 20 – “Supernatural”
Wednesday, June 11 – “The 100” (which has yet to even premiere)
The only other interesting thing? With “Supernatural” lasting longer than “The Originals,” it makes you wonder whether or not there is a 23-episode season there. This is what we had last year, so with the backdoor pilot for “Tribes” also in mind, it would not be such of a stunner to get that all over again.
“Hart of Dixie” is also a show to watch, given that it is not entirely clear just yet as to whether or not this show is going to be airing its season or series finale. We like to think that there is another season left in it, but it’s hard to be certain as of this writing. (“Arrow,” “Supernatural,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Reign,” and “The Originals” have all already been renewed.)
