‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Sherlock’s’ Mark Gatiss previews role

Take a look -At the moment, we feel like it is not much of an understatement at all to say that Mark Gatiss has managed to have himself quite the phenomenal year. Not only did he continue to steal the show as Mycroft on “Sherlock” (which he also helps to run), but he also landed quite the important role on the fourth season of “Game of Thrones.”

For the sake of some who do not want to know too much in the way of spoilers, all we will say is that Gatiss plays the part of Tycho Nestoris on the HBO hit, and it is a very different sort of part than we have seen him play in the past. Not only that, but this role is one who operates by a very different set of rules (often geared in the Westeros form of finance) than many of the other character.

Speaking in a new interview with Metro, Gatiss explained a little bit about what the reaction has been to him in the part:

“I felt a bit overwhelmed by the response. When it was announced, people bombarded me with questions. I felt a bit of a fraud. Apparently, my character in the books actually comes in a lot later so it was a bit unusual that they brought it forward.”

With this in mind, Mark hinted that he is definitely open for doing more on the show in the future, and this quote feels like even more evidence that the show is once again mixing up the timeline in an effort to avoid many of the landmines in George R.R. Martin’s fourth book.
