‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: First details on 250th episode, Tony Sr.’s return

More news -“Dressed to Kill” may sound like a silly episode title for “NCIS,” but it actually is the name for the show’s upcoming 250th installment. This is going to be a big one, as you have so much that you will be going on here in between the typical NCIS operations, and then also the return of Robert Wagner as Tony’s father.

If you want to read a few more details about just what this emotional episode is going to contain, especially when it comes to some big scenes for Michael Weatherly and Wagner to play, just read the full synopsis below:

“When DiNozzo confronts a man impersonating a Navy officer, guns are drawn and the perpetrator is left dead. The subsequent investigation uncovers that the only eyewitness is DiNozzo’s father, who is in town to disclose a secret to his son, on the 250th episode of NCIS.”

We expect maybe a few little callbacks here and there in here, but at the same time, 250th episodes are not really the sort of landmark hours that get the big celebrations with the cake. We expect that more of the show hits 300, which it could very well do given its continued ratings dominance.

We also want to touch on one other thing here in the wake of the very sad news regarding the death of Ralph Waite, who played Jackson Gibbs on the show. While it’s very likely that there will be some sort of In Memoriam Title card shown during the next new episode on Tuesday night, we would not be shocked if his death was not addressed onscreen until season 12. Most of the scripts fro this season have already been written this time around, and the last thing you want to see is a story shoehorned in there. It’s better to wait and get a larger tribute. Given what the writers had to do early this season in changing up the story, we can’t see them doing that much on the fly again.
