‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5: Could Tyler Blackburn return with ‘Ravenswood’ canceled?

While there are some very interesting “Pretty Little Liars”-related stories to touch on here in the wake of the cancellation of “Ravenswood” on Friday night, there is one question that we can definitely see many fans asking over the coming days: What does the end of this show mean for the Caleb character? Tyler Blackburn was the star and the anchor of “Ravenswood,” but with that show gone, it’s feasible that he could come back and continue his story on the flagship show … right?

At the moment, the best answer to questions about whether or not Blackburn will return to the original show is that it’s likely, at least in some capacity. As an actor, he owes a lot to the franchise and to creator Marlene King for getting all of these opportunities in the first place. Not only that, but the cast is very loyal to the fans. Blackburn and Ashley Benson seem to be good friends even away from the show, and they know the passion that is out there for Hanna and Caleb.

What we can at least say is that this move does open the doors for the romance between the two characters to begin again, since there will no longer be a need to keep them apart. While Hanna did have a temporary fling immediately after the relationship more or less came to a close, she’s single again now after realizing that she needs to take things slow. It’ll be interesting to see where this story goes, especially since this is the time when “Pretty Little Liars” is starting to think about what to do for its fifth season. The one thing to remember here is that while the “Ravenswood” cancellation may have been made official tonight, the folks behind the scenes have likely been aware of every part of the process. Plans may already be in place that are not revealed to the public.
