‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: How far ahead does Ian Harding know story?

On last night’s “Pretty Little Liars” episode, you saw what was more or less an experimental hour in “Shadow Play” that did get us a little bit closer to Aria finding out the truth about who Ezra really is; however, it seemed to spend most of its time trying to show off just how cool some of its art and production design was with its massive transformation into a noir.

So where does the show go from here? It’s a question with a variety of different answers, and the only thing that is confirmed right now is that we know there will be a big reveal soon when it comes to the Aria / Ezra relationship. Hopefully, following that we’ll get a better sense as to why he is doing some of this, how he has pulled off some of the individual machinations, and what his ultimate endgame here really is, given that he has shown love and devotion at times to his girlfriend over the years.

One thing that is somewhat surprising now, though, is that even Ezra is still uncertain as to what is going to be coming up the rest of the way. All he had to offer for the time being on his future beyond season 4 is the following quote to E! News:

“I don’t know what I’ll be doing next season … They just can’t after what happens.”

“Pretty Little Liars” has already been renewed for a fifth season, and what we can tell you in terms of production is that the production for the new episodes will start later this spring.
