‘American Idol’ notes: See new Adam Lambert, Candice Glover performances now!

The news -Want to see a pair of performances from two prolific “American Idol” contestants? Then we’ve got the hookup for you today!

Let’s begin here with Adam Lambert, who seems to be almost everywhere at the moment. We’ve reported recently that he will be on the show again later this month, where he and Chris Daughtry are going to mentor some of the upcoming contestants. Also, he will be returning to “Glee“‘ for a few more episodes there as Elliott “Starchild” Gilbert.

The video that we have below is of Adam doing what so many people love to see from him first and foremost: Performing. He was at the Family Equality Council’s Annual Los Angeles Awards Dinner over the weekend, and he gave a performance of “Mad World” that, according to some users on Twitter, left some select audience members in tears. This is of course a song that he originally had a huge moment with on “American Idol,” and to this date it is thought of as one of the best performances ever on the show.

Also, Candice Glover stopped by “The View” this morning in order to give a performance of “Cried.” her lead single off of her upcoming album “Music Speaks.” The disc drops a week from tomorrow, so we’re probably going to see a ton of promotion from her (at least we hope so) over the coming weeks. Getting on this show is a nice step in the right direction. She also got a brief little interview before taking to the stage in order to perform.

Check out the full video of her appearance below (via Mjsbigblog).

“American Idol” will be back on the air with new episodes on Wednesday night, and we’ll have a whole lot more to say on that later this week. For now, just be sure to sign up for our CarterMatt Newsletter if you want to get some more TV news from us worth singing about.
