‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for Felicity Smoak, Laurel Lance
At the end of last night’s “Arrow” episode, it was clear that there were some big changes for many of the characters. For example, we learned that Sara Lance was going to be sticking around in Starling City for a while; not only that, but she is going to actually continue some sort of relationship with Oliver Queen as though no time at all passed. Meanwhile, Laurel is completely furious that her sister is still alive, and blames her immediately for all of the pain and heartache that she has caused the family already.
Now, the official synopsis that we have for next week’s “Time of Death” suggests that there is going to be something pretty extreme that takes place as a result of Sara’s return, and it is not going to impact just Laurel. As a matter of fact, Felicity is also going to get very much caught in the crosshairs. See below:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell) brings Sara (Caity Lotz) into the Arrow team. Watching Oliver and Diggle (David Ramsey) spar with Sara and talk old scars, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) starts to feel left out. The team is investigating a villain named William Tockman, a.k.a. The Clock King (guest star Robert Knepper), who is a brilliant thief armed with technology that can open any bank vault in Starling City. After The Clock King infiltrates the computer systems in the lair, Felicity feels pressure to prove her worth. When she gets a lead on Tockman’s whereabouts, she heads out without the team, putting her in peril. Meanwhile, Oliver throws Sara a welcome home party, but Laurel (Katie Cassidy) refuses to attend. After Lance (Paul Blackthrone) makes his case for a family dinner, Laurel acquiesces, but when Oliver shows up with Sara, she loses her temper on both of them.”
What could the impact of Sara’s presence have on Felicity in particular long-term? The one thing that we really wonder right now is if it could cause her to go away from the group for good, especially since she has other options out there. We don’t think that would actually happen, she really needs to show Oliver at this point how big of an asset she is.

I think the writers have convinced me that I don’t want Olicity to get together. What they have done is shown that Felicity needs a life and a boyfriend. But not some dweeby geeky guy like they want to pair with her. Oh no, she deserves a Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark kind of guy.

The reason I am so dedicated to Arrow is because of Olicity. I can take Oliver hooking up with that skanky bi-sexual slut murderer for a brief time as we all know Oliver has been around alot. But if Olicity doesn’t happen, then I will no longer watch Arrow. It will kill the show for me.

Oli should be smarter showing up to a Lance family reunion with Sara on his arms… but it will be so fun to watch him not being that smart. XD
