‘Agents of SHIELD’ spoilers: Take another look at Stan Lee’s cameo

Given that tonight is a particularly special episode of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” why not spend one last minute talking about the big cameo that is going to happen over the course of the hour?

Stan Lee is basically at this point the king of all cameos, given that he has made appearances in almost every Marvel-related feature film out there. It makes sense, mostly because everyone realizes the impact the self-proclaimed Generalissimo has on the comic world. Without him, most of our beloved creations would not be around now, and there are few other people who had the same impact on their craft that he did. Basically, he’s the Michael Jordan of comics times ten.

As for how his cameo comes up tonight (in case you have not read what Lee had to say about it previously), he will be a passenger aboard a train that ends up becoming quite a hotbed of action. He will also take one of the show’s male cast members to task. While this is still not the sort of guest-starring role that lasts all episode (think of it as a 30-second detour of sorts), it is a nice moment for him, and something that should help make the show feel a little bit more like a part of the comic universe. That to date has been one of the biggest reasons why not everyone has resonated with this show despite all of the hype, and the great ratings that it pulled in for its series premiere.

For those of you looking for even more great stuff from the show, what we’ll have to say for now is this: You are not going to be disappointed at all with the ending of this episode. After it airs, the story is never going to be the same again.
