‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 18 preview: A surprising Ashley Benson peek

What is with “Pretty Little Liars” when it comes to men? First, how had Ezra; then, you had Wren; and now, you have … Holbrook? For whatever reason, the guys on this show like to creep on high schoolers for some reason to unbelievable levels. We can but it when it comes to one character, but three? That’s a little crazy.

To be fair, we don’t really know for sure that is precisely what Holbrook is doing when it comes to his recent conversations with Hanna. Nonetheless, it is still strange that the cop is spending so much time communicating with Ashley Benson’s character, in particular when you remember that it was only the first half of last season when we saw him being one of the key players in trying to figure out what in the world was up with her mother.

To us, this peek below from Tuesday night’s “Hot For Teacher” is here mostly to serve the purpose of showing that there is still some tension for these two characters that is unexplained, and for letting us know that following her terrifying trip to the dentist, complete with death threats from “A,” Hanna no longer has any interest at all in keeping up her habit of reading crime novels. As a matter of fact, she is trying to figure out what to do with some of her old ones.

Also, one final question: What is Holbrooke still doing in Rosewood? We know that he is trying to help solve the Alison DiLaurentis case on some level, but we haven’t seen very much of what the police are up to as of late.
