‘Agents of SHIELD’ spoilers: Stan Lee talks new cameo spot

If you are a lover of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” then it is pretty fair for us to label the new episode airing on Tuesday night a “can’t-miss” installment of the show. After all, this is an opportunity to see something more than just the traditional Stan Lee cameo.

Typically when we see the king of all comics appear in something, he has a role that is pretty limited beyond just a funny line or two. Here, we at least have something that is lasting a little bit longer … or as Lee tells IGN, about 30 seconds. He also goes into a few details about some of the funny dialogue that he has with some of the characters:

“… I play a guy sitting on a train, and I see Agent Coulson arguing with Elizabeth Henstridge [Agent Simmons]. I don’t realize that they’re putting on an act for some reason that has to do with this story, but I get very upset about the way he’s talking to her — and I’m sitting with a couple of young ladies. I don’t know who they are or why I’m sitting with them, but they were attractive, so I was very happy to do it. So I get up, and I bring the two young ladies with me, and I walk over, and I give Agent Coulson a little tongue-lashing for the way he’s been talking to her — and that’s my role! I can’t wait to see it when it comes out.”

Lee also makes it clear that he would love there to be some more superheroes who make their present felt on the show in the future, which we know is one of the problems that some out there do have with the show at the moment. It has picked up the quality, and we only hope it stays that way the rest of the season.
