Did Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander film Super Bowl commercial? The plot thickens…
Throughout this week, we have had quite a great time talking about Super Bowl commercials that are going to be hitting the airwaves on Fox Sunday night. However, what we have now is something a little bit different: A commercial that may not be a commercial at all starring Jerry Seinfeld.
Recently, the man-who-needs-to-introduction was spotted with Jason Alexander at Tom’s Restaurant in New York City, which is better known for the name of Monk’s used on “Seinfeld.” However, it was not clear what either one of them, nor Seinfeld’s longtime collaborator Larry David, were up to at the time.
Seinfeld confirmed in a recent interview of WFAN’s Boomer & Carton show that neither he, David, or Alexander were at Tom’s for a commercial, or form an edition of his “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” webseries. With that being said, he then ended up saying that it’s “not not those things, either. It’s a secret project.”
Whatever the project it, it had to be pretty amazing in order to get these parties together again for something. Seinfeld is not someone who is hard up on cash, given that he still makes millions of dollars a year in residuals for the landmark NBC shows. He remains one of the wealthiest guys in TV, even though he devotes most of his time these days to his stand-up comedy and also his webseries.
