NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2, episode 14 preview: First look at ‘Fear and Loathing’
Want to see some more “Revolution”? We may as wells tart this article off with some bad news: You’re going to be waiting for a little while. Thanks to the Olympics and the decision to not air a new episode next wee, you are going to be waiting until Wednesday, February 26 to see the next new episode of the show.
What we know for now about this episode is as follows: The title is “Fear and Loathing,” and violence will at least in one way be a theme as Monroe has a pretty interesting way to ponder his own mortality. (Strangely, it also reminds us a little bit of “Street Fighter.”) Also, there are some more “answers” apparently coming courtesy of Aaron, and his role in this ever-changing universe where destiny apparently means something.
One thing that we do wonder about when it comes to what is on the minds of the writers is the notion of a grand finale. This is not a show that is necessarily killing it in the ratings right now. They have to be aware that we are looking at a product here that is probably not going to make it to a season 3, and if we were the network, we’d send those signals along. With everything that has been established here when it comes to mythology, you want some time to wrap the story up right. The worst thing imaginable would be either an ending that felt rushed, or no real ending at all.
On a different note, we wish there was a way for the nanites to come in and completely erase the whole Charlie / Connor storyline. We understand the point of love interests, but we prefer some that feel less forced.

Completely agree with your review. Charlie and Connor were forced. As well as Duncan/Monroe thing. I think the writers must have felt like they need to squash the Charlie/Monroe thing. Which of course, doesn’t make sense due to the fact that NBC seemed to be pushing Charloe themselves. Perhaps, they thought it would help ratings to push it, then give a different option due to varied opinions on the subject. Regardless, I do hope it hey try to figure out a way to wrap up the story lines for everyone appropriately in case there is no Season 3. Doesn’t seem like the writers are thinking that way at this point though…..
