‘The Bachelor’: Juan Pablo Galavis not present at Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici’s wedding

How is this for a surprise Sunday night? Despite there being a number of “Bachelor” personalities in the house, including former contestants Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Jef Holm, there was a pretty big omission at Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s wedding Sunday night: Juan Pablo Galavis. Despite having an invite to attend, he was not shown on the special, and he said on social media that he was “watching” the ceremony as well as the Grammys.

So what in the world happened here? All we can really do right now is simply speculate as to what may have gone on. The obvious bit of conjecture to come up with is that the recent controversy surrounding Juan Pablo’s comments about a gay Bachelor, and there was a decision made to keep this wedding devoid of that sort of press. But, that is strictly just a thought that comes into mind rather than anything grounded in proof. It is very possible that he could have just attended the wedding and not been a distraction at all.

This decision may have just been one made on Juan Pablo’s part. Sean mentioned that he was invited to the wedding just days ago on “Jimmy Kimmel,” so it’s not like the invitation was revoked at the last minute. This is probably not something that anyone will ever have an answer to; instead, it may just be fair to file it away as “interesting” that he was not present at the event when he could have been, and many were expecting him to.

Even still, there was a presence from him in form of promos for his new episode Monday night. This is what makes this whole ordeal more confusing; Juan Pablo wasn’t promoted by being at the wedding, but was still promoted in some other way. We don’t quite get it,  and we probably never will.
