‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3: More Rose McGowan chatter

Did you miss the big news from earlier this weekend? Well if you did, here it is again: Rose McGowan is returning to “Once Upon a Time“!

McGowan herself basically confirmed the news of her return even further by posting a series of images onto Instagram. While none of these images are actually new or revelations, they are some nice little reminders of who Cora was at the time that she first picked up her story during a guest spot last year. As you know, the older version of the character was played by Barbara Hershey last year, which also is when Cora died.

It is thanks to the fact that Cora is dead that this makes her story now so interesting, given that you don’t know what sort of crazy twists or plans the show has up their sleeves for this. Given that the writers do everything on this show for a reason, though, you have to imagine that there is a pretty significant story to be told that requires the presence of McGowan in some shape or form. Could it revolve around Regina’s early days? That has to be a possibility, just as something involving Rumpelstiltskin also is. Also, you cannot rule out the possibility that there is some sort of great surprise coming up that you would not see coming … and you know that the producers for this show love their surprises.

One of the final major possibilities to consider here is that there is said to be some new additions to the complicated “Once Upon a Time” family tree coming up, and maybe this appearance has something to do with that.
