‘The X Factor’ USA: Alex & Sierra working with John Legend, more on new album
Even though “The X Factor” did not exactly get a whole lot of attention this past season, right now Alex & Sierra may be getting some of the most positive support from the music industry than any of the American show’s winners to date. They have already started the recording process, and that will continue until the album is ready.
Speaking to Yahoo! Music while at the same Grammy party we told you about earlier this week, Alex Kinsey said that he and his girlfriend / musical partner Sierra Deaton are set to work with John Legend, and have also collaborated already with Sam Watters, Toby Gad, and Julian Bunetta on some new music.
Also, Alex said something that was somewhat surprising to us about how quickly the album could be out, based mostly on Simon Cowell’s recent quotes that the couple was going to have time to get a disc together:
“[The album may be out] no longer than four months from right now, hopefully less than that.”
However, Sierra did stress that they “want to make sure that every single song that comes out is something we’re proud of, not just trying to rush something out.” Therefore, we’re fine with waiting for a little while to make sure that the music that they put together is perfect for the disc. They have more promise than any other artist to win the show; the talent is there, and so is the creativity.
The album for the two will be a part of the Syco family, and if there is one thing that they should have, it’s a decent amount of promotion. Both Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony had that for their own debut albums, and neither one of them ended up even in the top two on their season.
