ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Scoop on Stana Katic, (lack of) two-parter

Let’s start this “Castle” article with some “breaking news” (or news that you probably saw coming a mile away): There is not going to be a two-part episode airing for the rest of the season. Given that it is now almost February, you would have probably heard that it was happening by now if it was. But show boss Andrew W. Marlowe confirms it to TVLine, which means the tradition of the past couple of February sweeps periods is now officially over. (Technically, you did get that two-parter to kick off the season.)

Now, let’s transition over to some other news that is focused more on a singular character: Stnaa Katic’s Beckett. The 17th episode this season is entitled “In the Belly of the Beast,” and based on what we are hearing about that right now, it could be a time in which we seriously see Beckett kick some butt. If you like the more action-packed installments, you’ll probably enjoy it.

The biggest reason that we can all celebrate is that it really feels like “Castle” has a little bit of something for everyone coming up the rest of the way this season. You’ve got the wedding planning for the romance-lovers, some great mysteries for all you wannabe-gumshoes, and also action for those who just want to see fictional things go boom. There’s also some surprises coming around the bend in April and May that should be exciting to find out more about.
