Super Bowl commercials: Dannon Oikos stages ‘Full House’ reunion with John Stamos, more

There are many common templates that companies choose to follow every year at the Super Bowl when it comes to producing big ads, and one of them is either reuniting people, or combining unlikely people together or order to get a big laugh from the audience.

In case the picture to the left and the title didn’t give it away for you already, this is precisely what the gang from “Full House” is hoping to do for their new ad for Dannon’s Oikos brand of Greek Yogurt. We don’t know what John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier have to do with a popular brand of yogurt, but we’re going to find out come Sunday night.

What has made this whole Super Bowl commercial festivity all the more interesting these days is seeing just how far advertisers are willing to go with it. The latest trend is to release teasers for the actual ads themselves, which is precisely what we have here. The beauty in this is that you know in advance a little bit of what is coming up, but at the same time, you’re still without that big hook or the surprise. Personally, we still like to go into the big game with zero knowledge at all of what is coming up, but that’s just our own feeling about it.
