‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: ‘Battlestar Galactica’ alum in for 200th episode

The 200th episode of “Criminal Minds” is no longer that far away, and we can now report that there are some more interesting additions that you should be excited to see … including someone with some seriously-awesome sci-fi connections.

In news that was further expounded upon by TVLine, Tahmoh Penkett, who was also recently a part of “Supernatural,” will appear in this big installment as Michael Hastings, a man who has some experience with JJ at the Department of Defense. When the two parties run into each other, it is very possible that their reunion is a somewhat-testy one.

For the most part, the early buzz on episode #200 suggests that most of this episode is going to revolve around JJ’s past when she was gone a few years back, and how her time at the DoD changed her character somewhat. Most of the juicy stuff is apparently going to involve Mateo Cruz. There will be some pretty great stuff that’s in here, and also a few moments in here that look back on the show’s history, and remind us of just how fare we’ve come. Paget Brewster is also set to appear again, which will be a cause for some celebration. Basically, you get a good scope of the past nine years, save for that part with Mandy Patinkin that will probably never be touched on again.
