On Monday night’s new episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” we saw Captain Irving confronted with what was a pretty awful situation: His daughter, the same one that he was trying to protect, was possessed by a demon. He had to figure out a way not only for her to lose her forever, but to lso keep her alive in the process. That’s not exactly the easiest of situations.
In the video below, we at least get a little bit of insight in the way of way of what it was like to shoot some of these segments of the show. Orlando Jones (who plays Irving) describes how this was such a difficult and emotional process, as he is desperate to protect the person that he loves more than anything else; however, at the same time he has to go through the painful revelation that this is not the same person that he once knew while the demon is in there.
Then from a technical point of view, this video also works in that it gives you the chance to really see just what it was like to actually design this modified version of the character in the first place to give her a much more demonic look. If you are really into the world of production, or if you just love special effects in particular, think of this as a great little appetizer before the two-hour finale comes out on Fox Monday. After that, you’ll be waiting for a while.
