‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Who could come over from ‘The Originals’?

For the time being, we know that most fans of “The Vampire Diaries” are really angling to see some pretty cool stuff courtesy of the show’s upcoming 100th episode. That is where you are going to find out the fate of Katherine, and you may also in the process get an opportunity to learn a few things about Stefan, Elena, Caroline, and others. The writers realize that making it to 100 episodes is a pretty big deal, so they are not going to skimp on the surprises.

But for at a minute, let’s think about at least something else that could be coming up down the road: More appearances from some folks from “The Originals.” Who could one of them be? Think along the lines of Marcel. This is a guy who once ruled New Orleans and had the loyalty of his people, but given what Klaus has done to him over the past little while, isn’t he a guy that could use a little bit of a break in a new setting?

Speaking to E! News, the man behind the role in Charles Michael Davis did make it pretty clear that he is interested in seeing what would happen if he were to stop by Mystic Falls:

“Anything is a possibility, especially since we both shoot in Atlanta. I’d like to see that. I think it would be pretty cool, just to mix things up.”

At some point, we do know that there is going to be a return visit by Joseph Morgan’s Klaus on the show, and we have been told already that he is going to bring at least one other person along for the ride. Why not have it be Marcel? This is a guy who would bring a different energy to the group, and the more we could see him interact with the likes of Damon and Stefan, the better off that we’re all going to be.
