‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3: Meghan Ory stresses that Red is not gone forever

Have you missed Red on “Once Upon a Time” season 3? We figure that you have, at least since that’s what we tend to get almost any time that we look at Meghan Ory’s Twitter feed. She was one of the more-popular characters on the show, but left when she had the opportunity to have a leading role on “Intelligence.”

Even though the two shows both film in Vancouver, there have been a series of schedule conflicts that so far have made it impossible for her to return. However, Ory claimed at the TCA panel for “Intelligence” today that Red will in fact be back at some point. When she was filled in about everything that happened during the first half of the ABC show, she also then fired of a zinger that certainly makes it sound (per TVLine) like she did not care for a certain part of her original costume as Red’s Storybrooke counterpart Ruby:

“Does that mean I never have to wear my booty shorts again? Because that’d be awesome! That means that if I go back, I get to be Red Riding Hood and wear my cape again, which I love.”

Given that those shorts seemed to disappear the moment that Ruby remembered who she actually was, it’s hard to imagine Ory having a reason to ever worry about that again.

We don’t want to be the bearer of super-negative news here, but the truth of the matter is that Ory is probably going to have an opportunity to return to “Once Upon a Time” again very soon. Why is that? Think along the lines of the fact that “Intelligence’s” ratings were terrible Monday, and we don’t imagine it getting a renewal. This means that she will either want to get a role on another new show if she can, or head back to “Once Upon a Time” and try her luck again next pilot season.
