‘Teen Wolf’ season 3, episode 15 preview: Kira and Scott drama and more in ‘Galvanize’

Do you like this new direction that “Teen Wolf” season 3 is going in at the moment? Already, you may have noticed a couple of clear changes. The pace is a little bit slower than it was during the first half of season 3, and the show seems to be doing a welcome thing by actually going a little bit against the TV grain as of late.

There has been almost a little too much of an effort made recently (inspired in part by “Scandal” and other shows) to try to throw everything at you at once. The benefit of doing that is that the story is always intense, and you always have some sort of holy-bleep moment to talk about with your friends. The downside? It’s almost like watching a supernatural show where every single person on it has some sort of powers; you start to become numb to the magic or the presence of the other, and start to think of it as the norm. That’s problematic, since you want what is special about your show to actually feel that way.

Luckily, “Teen Wolf” is showing some recognition of that, and is slowing down the pace, adding some more old-school horror, and introducing to us the character of Kira (Arden Cho). She is someone who brings a different sort of energy to the show and to her potential romantic partner Scott, mostly because she makes a good bit of this about the pursuit again. She’s somewhat enigmatic, distant, and surely different than everyone else in Beacon Hills.

What do you think about this preview, and do you think that Kira’s relationship with Scott is going to go anywhere?
