‘Survivor: Cagayan’: Take a quick look at early designs for new season

Are you ready to see the return of another great “Survivor” season? We know that we are. “Survivor: Cagayan” is set to be the next edition in the long-running reality franchise, and there is more than likely quite a bit to celebrate here.

The first thing that we know many are waiting for is the premiere date, and CBS has strangely not announced that yet. What are they waiting for? One distinct possibility is that they are in a big debate over scheduling, given that CBS has a stumbling block ahead in the NCAA tournament, but there is also the Winter Olympics that they have to worry about. To us, the best solution may be to start a week or two later then usual, and then have a two-hour premiere and then end a week later in May. (We certainly don’t mind more “Survivor” as we get closer and closer to the start of the summer.)

What we have to share now otherwise are some of the first little aesthetic details about the show, starting with the always-cool immunity necklace, which looks like some sort of glorious, golden creation here. We also have the rather terrifying image to the left, which we’re guessing is part of the decoration for a torch.

Finally, the images below could very well be the show’s tribe colors for this season: Orange, purple, and teal. The first two have been used a ton of times before and really aren’t that interesting, but we like that teal color and don’t feel like it has been done much at all. We know that there are only so many colors that can be used, but we’re down for seeing some more pastels, or maybe something like a white or a brown that has not been used too much. Red, orange, blue, yellow, and black have all been pretty played out to varying degrees.

What do you think about all this good stuff, and is it “good stuff” from your vantage point? Let us know below.
