NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2, episode 10 review: Monroe’s son, and another reunion

After quite a lengthy hiatus, “Revolution” returned to NBC on Wednesday night with a new episode entitled “Three Amigos,” and there is quite a bit of irony in that it feels like not everyone was ready to be friends.

The man that we are specifically talking about here is Monroe, who had some pretty bad news when it comes to his son. After finding out that he had been brought all the way down to Mexico, his son was not exactly ready to greet him with open arms. Instead, he was much more interested in just sending him away. This was not what everyone was hoping to see going into tonight; we know that for sure.

As for the rest of the episode, it was somewhat hit or miss. We cannot sit here with a straight face and say that we really care that much about what Charlie is up to, and the whole politics of this new world. Meanwhile, at least Giancarlo Esposito is starting to get a better story, and Kim Raver is up to some interesting things, as well. Basically, Neville is getting an opportunity to be terrifying all over again.

The story that we are admittedly the most interested in seeing the rest of the way, though, is all about Aaron. This is a guy that has already survived so many times that you’d think he was that guy getting revived over and over again by the Lord of Light on “Game of Thrones.” He has made his way back to Oklahoma … and to Grace. A great surprise, and at least one of the better endings to an episode so far. Grade: B.
