‘Glee’ season 5: Lea Michele shows revealing look during Mexico trip

Lea Michele has officially decided to ring in 2014 with some sunshine away from all the work chaos. Not only that, but she is showing quite a surprising amount of skin in the process.

Following what was a very difficult summer and early fall, and extensive period of filming on “Glee” season 5, and then promotional push for her new single “Cannonball,” it was clearly time for her to have a break over the holidays. Luckily, Lea found the time to do so this week in Mexico, which is a pretty trendy spot for many Los Angeles-based TV stars to frequent. It is short enough distance-wise that you can fly down without it taking up too much of your precious vacation time, but it is also far enough away to feel like a completely different world. Lea’s shown a knack for visiting tropical locales during her time off over the years.

But, we suppose what more people are going to be talking about is the bikini that she chose to wear in a post on her Twitter account. For someone who went fairly conservative during most of her promo for her music (which is typically a time that people, including her co-star Naya Rivera, choose to go with a racy look), she is definitely going to grab headlines from most celebrity sites for this.

Following her trip to Mexico, Lea is going to get started again fairly quickly on some more “Glee” season 5 episodes. The first episode back, entitled “Frenemies,” will air on Tuesday, February 25 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, which is the new timeslot after spending a good chunk of the past year and a half firmly situated on Thursdays. As for whether or not it will really do any better in a time that also includes such teen fare as “The Originals” and “Pretty Little Liars,” that remains to be seen.
