NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton brings Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery into new performance

Has NBC finally started to figure out how to promote some of their former contestants on “The Voice”? It’s really starting to feel that way courtesy of all the brand integration that we are seeing these days.

The same week as the network showed a float featuring the likes of Tessanne Chin, Will Champlin, and Jacquie Lee during the 2014 Rose Parade, the network’s New Year’s Eve show aired a performance of Blake Shelton singing “Boys ‘Round Here” alongside two of the former winners from his team in Danielle Bradbery and Cassadee Pope. The two have made some nice progress towards having their own careers take off, at least in that they have each managed to get a single in the top 25 of the country airplay charts. We know that we sound like a broken record at this point, but anytime that a new female artist is able to do that in a male-dominated genre, that is something that you do have to take note of and celebrate.

Both Danielle and Cassadee are probably going to spend most of this year hitting the road and performing, though it would also not surprise us at all to see “The Voice” find a way to better use them for some performances coming up in the second half of the season. As for when a second album from either one of these ladies could come out, you are probably going to be waiting for at least a little while. Neither one of their other discs are more than three months old.
