‘Orphan Black’ season 2 teaser: Tatiana Maslany is ‘one of a kind’ (video)

Big news -Saturday, April 19 is a date that we definitely know you will want to remember, at least if you want to have an opportunity to catch some genuinely awesome science fiction on TV again. “Orphan Black” will be back in action, which means an opportunity to see the clones on top of clones that will be played by none other than Tatiana Maslany.

In the latest teaser, you’re mostly reminded that there are more clones out there than ever, and not much else. This is not the sort of teaser preview that you can use to actually start to figure out something in the way of details when it comes to the story for the new season, and it is instead meant to just have you staring at the television and commenting just on how cool it is. When it comes to that, we highly consider it to be a success and then some. Also, the “one of a kind” slogan at the end of both cool and very clever at the same time.

Now, the only question that remains is just if the show is going to be able to meet the sort of meteoric expectations that exist for it now. You have to remember that this show has been anointed one of the best of the entire year, and Maslany’s snubbing at the Emmys sparked great outrage. That is quite a lot to live up to, but our hope is that the show will deliver. Not only that, but we’re also hoping that the show is going to get a chance to have a much larger viewership after some out there started realize just how great it is. (Like “Breaking Bad” and many other shows on a network that had been previously not really known for original shows, it may take a while to find its ratings footing.)
