‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: How Nina Dobrev spends Christmas time off

Like with many other shows on TV right now, “The Vampire Diaries” is in the middle of its holiday hiatus. After spending a good chunk of the past five or so months preparing scenes for the upcoming season, the cast and crew has an opportunity to take a breather, spend some time with friends, and then eventually go back to work in the new year on some more episodes for the show.

When it comes to Nina Dobrev, we’ve already seen a few times already over the course of the show’s history that she personally has quite an affection for spending part of her holiday season traveling. Over the summer, she traveled to multiple countries within the span of just a few short weeks, and she is now taking advantage of the opportunity to visit a few holiday locales with her mother Michaela Constantine. The two visited a holiday party at the White House together, and then also went on to visit Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Dobrev has been a vocal supporter of some of President Obama’s policies (in particular healthcare), so it is not too great of a surprise to see her visiting the White House at this time of year. Eventually, we wound assume that her travels would take her back up to Canada, given that this is where she grew up prior to finding fame on the hit CW show.
