The premiere of “Dallas” season 3 is just about two months away, and with that in mind we’re starting to get a few more details coming in here and there about just what we can expect … including something related to a time jump that you are going to experience during the early going.
While some shows do choose to use a time jump by several months, or even years in some cases, you are not going to be seeing the TNT series go that extreme. Instead, you will see (according to TVLine) an episode that starts off with just a tiny time jump, and from there surges forward around a week or so.
The immediate focus of the new season is likely going to be centered around doing whatever possible to try to move forward following the death of J.R. Ewing, and to give the show a new energy that is more chaotic and dramatic rather than tragic. They also need to wrangle in a new, younger audience, and shifting the tone ever so slightly is a good way to ensure that this happens.
