‘The Fosters’ spoilers: ‘Glee’s’ Romy Rosemont signs on for multiple episodes

Now that “The Fosters” has picked up a little bit of critical and commercial steam, it’s now decided that the next phase of the operation is going to be bringing on board some notable guest stars.

So who is one of the more prominent names joining the ABC Family series in the new year? It’s none other than Romy Rosemont. According to E! News, the actress, best known for playing the unfortunately late Finn Hudson’s mother on “Glee,” will be appearing in multiple episodes of the show starting March 3 as Amanda, the mother of Zac, the new possible love interest of Cierra Ramirez’s Mariana. She’s a woman who at times can be difficult, but is always captivating to watch.

“The Fosters” is a show that ABC Family is making a pretty decent investment in at this point, as it already has a renewal for another season under its belt (which is always a good sign). The show joins “Twisted” as one of the new entries in the lineup, and the two weathered the summer storm to a certain extent. The challenge now obviously will be having to air against a variety of network competition, and unlike “Ravenswood,” they are not going to have that benefit of a “Pretty Little Liars” lead-in waiting for them. But with the right amount of publicity, some good storytelling, and a few more notable guest stars, the show could manage to do just enough to get the ratings that it needs to continue that investment straight into season 2 and beyond.
