‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3, episode 12 spoilers: Rebecca Mader to play Wicked Witch of the West

What's next? -At the end of tonight’s “Once Upon a Time” season 3 episode there was a promo for the rest of the season that teases just what comes next for Emma, Henry, and the rest of your favorite characters. But to go along with that, there was also another huge revelation that came out: Rebecca Mader (“Lost”) is going to be around in a very bewitching role.

Yes, you heard it here: Mader will be playing the role of the Wicked Witch of the West through the rest of the season. She was teased as one of the most notorious villains of all time, and this is the official confirmation that the world of Oz is going to be a part of the show’s universe.

Away from this brief appearance from Mader, the preview also teased the arrival of many of the fairy-tale characters back to the worlds that they first came from, and it also showed Captain Hook continue to try his part to convince Emma that what he was saying about the fairy tale world is true. We will definitely admit that he was probably one of the last people that we ever thought in a million years would be coming to see her in the de facto role of Henry 2.0. But, here he is, and that is going to be pretty interesting to see. Also, this could be his opportunity to get a fresh start with Emma romantically, and we have to wonder why he didn’t show up to her door dressed as something other than an evil, nefarious pirate. (A nice cardigan and a shave could’ve done the trick, no?)

The one thing that we can say for sure here is that we feel incredibly excited about the rest of the show this season, and that’s not something we felt entirely sure of at times during the trip to Neverland, which was repetitive and also took up a ton of time.
