‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: One person who won’t be joining Dianna Agron, others in 100th episode
As you may or may not have heard recently, there are going to be some big additions to the 100th episode of “Glee.” Not only are we going to be seeing the likes of Harry Shum Jr. and Amber Riley, but both Dianna Agron and Heather Morris are going to be making their first appearances of the entire season as Quinn Fabray and Brittany S. Pierce. Finally, the entire original crew of New Directions is going to be stopping by for more.
Unfortunately, there is still a key player from season 1 who apparently won’t be making an appearance. As confirmed first by TVLine, Jessalyn Gilsig will not at this time be making a return appearance as Terri, Will’s Bed, Bath, and Beyond-working (now) ex-wife who faked a pregnancy in order to try to bring the two closer for a little while.
Personally, this news makes us somewhat sad, but we’re not going to sit here and say that this is much of a surprise at all. Gilsig has not been on the show in years, and the last we heard of Terri, her character was plotting a move to Florida in order to start over. This news is also not much of a shock when you remember here that the show used to be much more about Will than it is today. Now, “Glee” is more of an ensemble affair, and Will has been more or less a cheesy afterthought save for that incredible and heartbreaking moment at the end of “The Quarterback” where he sobbed into Finn’s letterman jacket just as Emma arrived home to comfort him. (Speaking of Emma, Jayma Mays’ status is also currently unclear for the episode, but we know that she has a few more appearances before she leaves the show for good.)
