MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 3: Assorted fun via Ashley Rickards and the cast
It’s been a while since we have seen “Awkward” air on MTV, but on Tuesday night, the comedy sensation is going to be back with some all-new episodes. Not only that, but to get you a little more excited today we have a video below from the network featuring contestants all trying to answer a simple question: What have they taken from the show’s set? Whether you are looking at Ashley Rickards or elsewhere, the little homemade video is something that you’ll get a laugh at if you are a diehard fan of the show.
We would be lying if we said that we are absolutely confident that the rest of “Awkward” season 3 is going to go off without a hitch. MTV is not really known for their scripted programming in the fall, and this is a big risk when you consider that Tuesday nights have new episodes across the board on other networks. Not only that, but this is a time when school is in session, and it’s not the sort of near-summer situation that we had in April.
Tonally, this is also going to be a difficult few months for Rickards’ Jenna Hamilton. As you may remember, the last we saw of the character was when she cheated on Matty with Collin. This is going to carry over to the second half of the season, as she will be still keeping it up. Just to make matters worse, she also seems pretty clueless about if it will be possible for her to stop. This causes her to be alienated from almost all of her friends and family, and the story starts to pose the question about whether or not she can recover. While Jenna has already been through a dark time in her life, every high schooler has some sort of really awful time when it all feels like it is falling apart and you wish that you didn’t have to go to school. For her, this is that time through and through.
