‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 6 preview: Is Jo pregnant, and is Alex cheating?

The future -While we know that the purpose of all “Grey’s Anatomy” promos is to tease the stories that are coming up, this one teases so many different stories that they cannot all possibly be true. After all, is it possible that Jo is actually pregnant and that Alex is cheating? Personally, we cannot really imagine either one of these being true for the time being. It’s still too early in the relationship, and based on everything that Shonda Rhimes has teased so far, this is supposed to be the road that takes us to the happy ending for Justin Chambers’ character.

This episode airing next week is entitled “Map of You,” and while there are a number of developments teased in the promo, none of them are emphasized in the following synopsis:

“Derek and Callie work on a brain mapping project, Richard encourages the interns to use his physical condition as a learning tool and after a discussion with Callie, Meredith considers continuing her mother’s research. Meanwhile, Shane continues to feel guilty about Heather’s death.”

It is particularly interesting to see the Heather story coming out now, mostly because it’s been a few weeks now since that happened. We could argue that the reason for it coming up now is simply because of the show needing to stir up a little bit more drama when it comes to Shane’s story. We love Gaius Charles, but the guy really does need a little bit more to do on the show. Maybe this will mark an opportunity for him to get that very thing.

Let’s just hope that somewhere along the way here, Meredith finds the balance that she is so eagerly hoping to find between her personal and professional careers; not only that, but we’re also pulling to see something further regarding Alex and his dad, based on the heartbreaking ending to tonight’s episode. You can read some more news on that, including the absolutely stellar performance by James Remar in the episode, over at the link here. We’ll have much more relating to “Grey’s Anatomy” very soon.
