ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: More news on Emily Thorne’s ‘fun’ new rival

It’s not often that you hear the words “fun” and “rival” talked about in the same sentence, especially when it comes to a show like “Revenge.” However, the latest scoop related to the show is really going to be all about someone new that is coming to the ABC hit, stirring things up, and possibly impacting some of Emily Thorne’s goals in a pretty substantial way. In other words, she’s almost everything that you could hope for from a recurring role. Her name is Jenny, and she could be a little bit of a different adversary in that we’re not talking about someone here who has a ton of money or power to float over others’ heads.

Annabelle Stephenson is set to play the part on the show, and in speaking out about what sort of background she comes from, showrunner Sunil Nayar had the following to say to TVLine:

“She’s a scrappy character. She’s more from the world of Jack than she is from the world of the Hamptons. She becomes a bit of a rival for Emily in a really fun way.”

Hopefully, this character can help fix something that has at times been a problem for “Revenge,” at least in that most everyone else has been so obsessed with their money, power, or appearance that they don’t see the forest through the trees. Emily has always gotten by to an extent courtesy of being the smartest person in the room, and you have to hope that the introduction of a new character could help stir that up a little bit.
