‘The X Factor’ UK preview: See Robbie Williams surprise Sam Bailey, Overs at judges’ houses
Tomorrow, “The X Factor” UK is going to bring us an element of the competition that the American version for some silly reason decided to cut this year: The judges’ houses. This is always a favorite in that helps us have a glimpse into the “lifestyles of the rich and famous,” as we get a chance to see how the contestants all fair under intimate, intimidating circumstances in faraway places.
While Los Angeles may feel like a TV hub for folks in America, it’s somewhere new and exciting for many of these contestants. Also, it is perfectly convenient for Sharon Osbourne to have her judges’ house there, given that she is still co-hosting “The Talk” during the week while also managing her duties on this show. This alone is going to make things somewhat difficult for her contestants, given that we imagine there being a little less hands-on communication unless she takes time off from the show, or the contestants fly in to America for the week.
So who did she bring along along to help judge her group of Overs? It’s none other than former Take That member Robbie Williams, who has figured out a way to work with someone other than Gary Barlow here. Robbie is a supreme entertainer, so you know that this is going to be fun. Also, Sam Bailey is already admitting that she had a crush on him growing up, which puts her in the same league as most women in Britain. He will help to figure out the three singers moving ahead to the live shows, where they will compete for the grand prize.
