‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Misha Collins on Castiel’s fall, angels with powers (video)

You have heard a few little teasers from time to time as to the story ahead for Castiel on “Supernatural” season 9, but what better source is there for scoop on the character than from the man himself? Misha Collins has seen the character go through a variety of different ups and downs since the beginning, and we are getting set now to experience what is going to be one of the crazier rides for him to date as he starts to figure out what it’s like when it comes to being a human, he has quite a bit to learn after getting to experience the world and Heaven as an angel.

In the latest video from The CW, Collins starts us off by giving a little bit of an introduction into the new Earth with the inclusion of fallen angels, and is also kind enough in the process to confirm that there are going to be some who still have at least some powers to go along with their presence on the planet:

“Some have some powers, some are completely bereft of powers. Cas is totally human. He is getting for the first time in his life to really experience what it’s like to be a human being, things I’ve been hoping to do for a long time with Cas’ character. I’m really excited about that.”

Collins has said previously that Castiel is going to be going through everything that any human learns out to do, whether it be eating, sleeping, using bodily functions, or falling in love with someone else human. The latter is something that will come into play once we meet his love interest a little later this season … and that is something that has already created quite a polarizing reaction online.
