‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Only Six Red John suspects to go…

The latest -As the list of possible Red John suspects starts to decrease, you can only imagine that the tension for “The Mentalist” is slowly going to start to boil over. Sunday’s premiere episode was surely entertaining and had a great little mystery in it to boot, but the real drama will come next week, as Patrick Jane realizes the full extent of the danger that his partner is in.

The promo below is fairly revealing when it comes to the sort of pressure Jane is under now that Lisbon has been exposed as a possible target, and now he has to find a way to help ensure her safety, while at the same time working to handle another case and deal with several more suspects. This episode is entitled “Black-Winged Redbird,” and the synopsis below should prove worthy in providing a few more details:

“Jane discovers an important clue to Red John’s methods as the team encounters four of the suspects, and the CBI investigates the case of a software engineer killed by a drone strike.”

While the question is still out there as to when the Red John case is going to ultimately be resolved, the reality is that the answer is probably still a little ways away. It would be a shock to see the villain be revealed in some shape or form prior to the November sweeps; plus, the writers will likely want to milk this story to a certain extent given the large amount of hype that they have placed upon it already.
