‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: Embrace the latest casting!
Was the title perhaps a little too over-excited? Possibly, but without further ado, let’s go ahead and dive right into what is the latest casting scoop for “Game of Thrones” season 4. This time around, we are talking about a character that may or may not be much of a big role at all, but it is still nonetheless inspiring to hear someone talk with such great enthusiasm about landing the part.
In an interview with IFTN (as uncovered by the folks over at Winter is Coming), actress Jane McGrath, whose credits including the BBC miniseries “Quirke,” confirmed that she is filming a part on the HBO juggernaut:
“At the moment, I’m up and down to Belfast on ‘Game of Thrones’. I’m not even allowed to talk to my friends about it and can’t be giving anything away! My character is beyond the Wall and it was stunning. When you’re on set you feel like you’re actually there. It’s incredible!”
Sounds like quite the experience, no? All we can say for now is that she is a Wilding, and hopefully there will be some more details that come up in the weeks ahead about her and other roles. While the books are already out there as source material, the reason HBO keeps a lid on casting for the most part is because there are certain characters not included from the books, and also some that appear at different times in the story in order to make the adaptation happen on TV.
This is of course far from the only “Game of Thrones” casting scoop that we are hearing right now. An Icelandic band was recently announced to be featured in at least an episode, and that goes along with the revelations already that Tommen, Daario, and the Mountain have all been recast.
