‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: Bonding moments for Amy and Howard

We almost feel like the TV genie has granted one of our recent wishes. As of late, we’ve been hoping to see some “Big Bang Theory” stories revolve around Amy and Howard, mostly because these two people, along with Amy and Raj, to a certain extent, are among the few that have really not been paired off in some way over the course of the show’s run. There are some fun dynamics that can be explored when you put people together, especially when they don’t see eye-to-eye on much.

When you talk about both Amy and Howard, you may at first think that they don’t have hardly anything in common at all, but at the same time, they really might have enough in common that it would surprise you. For example, Howard cannot fathom why Amy would want to be with someone as obsessive and crazy as Sheldon; meanwhile, Amy cannot figure out why Bernadette would want to be with someone as juvenile as Howard.

Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Steven Molar gave us a sense as to how these two characters are going to have something to do together moving forward:

“Amy and Howard are one of those [pairings we are playing with]. Without telling you exactly what it is, I will tell you they find something very specific that they bond over, and it’s quite charming.” 

This is one of the reasons why “The Big Bang Theory” remains so popular to its loyal fans, and is the most-watched comedy on TV right now. While there are occasionally guest stars and event episodes, the focus of the writers mostly remains on the characters. It’s a no-fills approach that works, because you care about the people that are at the center of the story.
