‘CSI’ season 14 spoilers: ‘Dexter,’ ‘One Tree Hill’ alum signs up for 300th episode
“CSI” has clearly had itself a little bit of a tumultuous week. Hopefully, some casting news about the 300th episode will help to bring back a smile to the faces of some.
According to TVLine, former “One Tree Hill” star Bethany Joy Lenz, who is fresh off a brief run on “Dexter” as a next door neighbor / possible love interest, has been booked for this key installment of the procedural in the role of an edgy sort of soccer mom. While she may seem on the surface normal with her children, there is going to be something underneath the surface that makes this character both a little deeper and more interesting.
It has already been reported that Marg Helgenberger will be back on the scene for this key episode, and save for this, some of the other gossip out there right now is that the case here is going to involve a similar M.O. as something from very early on in the series’ run. It is an opportunity to go back to the very beginning of the series, and also show just how much some of these people have really evolved since the very beginning.
As for the drama we spoke of early, it merely refers to the news that George Eads, who has been a part of the show since the very beginning, will not be around following an on-set clash with a member of the show’s writing staff. While details of this dispute were not released, early inclinations are that Eads will be returning to the show at some point in the future.
The season 14 premiere of “CSI” will air on Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. Stay tuned for more updates.
