‘Arrow’ season 2: Willa Holland talks Thea Queen – Roy Harper relationship
The second season of “Arrow” may not be premiering until Wednesday, October 9, but The CW is doing a pretty great job so far of keeping us informed courtesy of all of the character spotlight videos that they have been putting up.
So following the latest video that gave us more insight into Colton Haynes and Roy Harper, we now have someone who certainly knows a thing or two about him at this point: Thea Queen. Willa Holland does not exactly offer up much in the way of details about what could lie ahead for her character, but she does tease that we are going to be seeing so much more of her relationship with Roy, and how the two could actually benefit quite a bit from seeing how the other half lives.
For one example of that, Willa can clearly learn not to take what she has for granted, and that being a Queen does not really mean anything when it comes to (romantic cliche alert) matters of the heart. Meanwhile, Roy has quite a bit to learn himself in the field of being able to let down the walls and stop acting so defensive all of the time, and this is someone who could really allow him to do that without judgment or fear of them taking something from him in return. Thea is a positive influence in some ways, and we say that even with the knowledge that she went through some terrible stuff last year courtesy of the Vertigo disaster.
As for what Willa’s role will be this year, expect to see her taking on an interesting new role in Oliver’s life, and she is also going to have to come to terms with the fact that Roy is not going to be satisfied until he achieves his goal, and that includes hunting Oliver down.
